Wager Pool 1 is scheduled for Feb. 18 - 20
Wager Pool 2 is scheduled for March 11 - 13
Wager Pool 3 is scheduled for April 1 - 3
Each Derby Future Pool is comprised of 24 betting interests which includes 23 individual hores. The 24th wagering interest is a mutuel field that includes ALL other 3-year olds.
The wagering format is a non-refundable minimum $2 Win bet. As these are pari-mutuel pools, the final odds are set at the close of each Kentucky Derby Future Pool.
Last year Derby Winner Super Saver paid $18 but the payoffs for Pool 1
was $43, Pool 2 $51 and Pool 3 paid $73 ......
The Super Saver / Ice Box Exacta paid $152 on Derby Day but paid
$1,077 in Future Wager Pool 3 ...
The wagering on each Pool begins at Noon ET on Friday and ends at 6 p.m. ET on Sunday.
AGAIN This year starting with Pool 1 is a $2 minimum Exacta wager!
The "Future Exacta" wager can only use the Field entry #24 in one position of the Exacta. If the winning Derby Exacta results in 2 of the Field horses, the winning Future ticket will be #24 first and the 1st non-field horse to finish in the 2nd spot of the Future Exacta.
Invalid "Future Exacta" wagers are #24 / #24 and All with All
